NEVADA SPEEDWAY 2008 MINI STOCK RULES NEW CLAIM RULE FOR 2008 All cars competing in this class will be subject to a $1200 and trade claim. Any car maybe claimed by any driver for $1200 and your car after the feature race. Any driver refusing a claim will forfeit any money and will be suspended for 6 weeks for the first offense. Any driver refusing a claim for the second time will be suspended for the remainder of the season and will forfeit all winnings and points. The only item that does not go with the trade will be the seat. The cars involved in the trade must be presented for competition the next race date at Nevada Speedway. A competitor may not make more than 2 claims during the 2008 season. 1. CARS - American or foreign made rear wheel drive, with original wheelbase, sedan and station wagon. No alterations of floor boards or fire walls. Stock steel body only. NO aluminum. No Moving back or lightening of fire wall. All cars must have full Floor boards and full fire wall. No moving firewall.Must be complete for that car. No MSD IGNITION. 2. ENGINES - 4 Cylinder only. Any motor in any car. No after market heads or intakes. Header ok. Maximum 2.5 liter. 3. CARBURETOR - 1 Carburetor only. 1, 2, or 4 barrel. Gas only. 4. SUSPENSION - cannot be changed or altered. MUST REMAIN STOCK. 5. SHOCKS –Stock or racing shocks are permitted but must be stock appearing and be mounted in the stock location. 6. REAR ENDS - Can be locked. Must remain stock for car (EIRI) passenger car rear ends only. 7. WHEELS - 8" STEEL MAXIMUM. No aluminum wheels. 8. TIRES - MODIFIED KK704. Grooving allowed. Right rear beadlock only. 9. SPOILER - 8" Wide, width of deck lid 10. ROLL CAGE - 1 ˝" diameter tubing by .095 thickness, (4) point with "X " Brace behind driver, three (3) bars on drivers side and one (1) Bar on passenger side of car. Cars can be turned away for unsafe conditions. Main cage must be fastened to steel plate no smaller than 6" x 10" inside and 1/4" thickness. 11. NO WEIGHT JACKS or adjustable cups. Solid non adjustable spacers allowed. 12. FUEL CELL required. Covered from drivers compartment. 13. BUMPER - Stock type or square or round tubing with ends capped.No sharp ends. Width of bumper not to exceed past the center of tires. 14. KILL SWITCH - Must have one located behind driver’s seat and clearly marked on & Off”. 15. NO STEERING QUICKENERS 16. BRAKE PEDALS - No after market brake pedals and on altering or moving back of stock peddles in car. 17. WEIGHT: Added weight must be attached with clamp, painted white and marked clearly with car number. All attached weight must be attached with weight clamps by two ˝” bolts in each piece.
